Improvisator / Dancer / Choreographer

Narumi was born in Aichi, Japan. She started dancing when she was 6 years old. She graduated bachelor and master of dance education at Japan Women's Physical Education in Tokyo.

In 2014 she moved to Germany, studied modern and contemporary dance at Folkwang Universität der Künste in Essen, Germany. From 2018 till 2022 she was a member of Folkwang Tanzstudio. In parallel, she started to work as a freelance artist in Germany and France. She collaborated with Thusnelda Mercy, Pascal Merighi, Reinhild Hoffmann, David Hernandez, Michiel Vandevelde, Stephanie Miracle,

Navala 'Niku' Chaudhari, Daniel Goldin, Marie-lena Kaiser, Henrietta Horn, Jan Möllmer, Tsai Wei Tien and more..

​Her greatest strength lies in improvisational dance, where she thrives in dynamic collaborations with musicians and other performers. She is deeply drawn to the beauty of spontaneous moments that emerge from improvisation and is eager to explore this unpredictability further, seeking to expand the boundaries of her artistic expression.
