Baptiste was born prematurely in 1994 in Valence and moved to Toulouse (where he should have been born!) to start attending the circus school "Le Lido" at the age of 4. There he learns different techniques such as handstand, wire balancing, acrobatic lifts, associated with a theatrical and clownish approach to the stage.

 

This growing interest in Physical Theatre and Performance took him to Germany in Essen where he completed in 2018 dance studies at the Folkwang University of arts. During his studies he worked as a performer in solo and group projects with different choreographers such as Thusnelda Mercy, Jan Möllmer, Navala 'Niku' Chaudhari, Johannes Klaus (theater director), Daniel Goldin. In parallel, he also creates a series of short improvised pieces where he start to refines a dancing character between clown and mime, alone or in collaboration.

 From 2018 to 2020 he was a member of the ensemble of Folkwang Tanz Studio, Dance Company where he works with Stephanie Miracle (USA), Henrietta Horn, Michiel Vandevelde (Belgium), Reinhild Hoffman, Marie-Lena Kaiser and other.

Currently he works as a freelance dance artist in Germany and France with artists and choreographers such as miu mimura, Fang-Yun Lo/Polymer DMT, Felix Bürkle and more recently with Peculiar Man (Jan Möllmer and Tsai-Wei Tien in Wuppertal), performing:group (Köln) and Alexandra Waierstall (Düsseldorf).

He combines his work as a performer with multiple disciplines such as clowning, DJ, sculpture and set design.
